We do lots of R&D combining textiles and creative technologies to create sensory interactive products.

Our Story…

Our founder, Annie, is a specialist in tactile textiles and human-centred design. She has a life-long passion for sensory learning and a deep understanding of the importance of family connections. She worked for many years as a teacher, after which she re-trained in interactive/digital textile design. Her efforts are now dedicated to creating sensory, therapeutic products for well-being and the challenges associated with older age. Her aim is to help families connect with their loved-ones and support carers to improve the quality of life for their clients.

Research shows that touch is central to our wellbeing.

Our feel-good cushions are designed to have therapeutic qualities that support the wellbeing of people living with anxiety and stress – particularly in these uncertain times where ‘touch-deprivation’ is real. When we are feeling stressed, anxious or even just a little low, hugging or simply holding someone or something can lift our mood. Touching and hugging sensory cushions and cosy comforters, like ours, can help to alleviate feelings of anxiety.

Creating The Perfect Cuddle factor

Working with a wonderful like-minded team of occupational therapists and talented artisans, Sooothe is now on an exciting journey researching the benefits of texture, colour, shape, pattern, and weight to create the perfect “cuddle factor’ - all designed to soothe the senses and calm the mind.

Eco-friendly

We source eco-friendly fabrics & packaging wherever possible, and build partnerships with like-minded suppliers. All our products are made in the UK with quality fabrics, made to last and made-to-order to reduce waste.

We love research

At Sooothe we are exploring the added value that Digital Touch, eTextiles and Human Interaction Design can bring to sensory and assistive living products. This is an exciting, emerging area of technology with great potential to support people to manage their own well-being and stay independent at home. These will be our next generation - Future Products. See our research page for further details.

Collaborative mindset

We are founded on collaboration and welcome opportunities for networking and building partnerships. We would love your input and feedback on our products to ensure we keep improving what we do.

Please get in touch with Annie to collaborate or enquire about our products.
